The Cost Of Designing Or Remodeling A Kitchen-huangshexiaoshuo

Home-Improvement In Oakland, kitchen remodeling services from First Rate Renovations, Inc. include consultations with NARI-certified experts and the design team. The company is based in San Leandro, California, and serves the entire Bay Area. Here, David Pinsley, the vice president of the company, discusses the cost of designing or remodeling a kitchen, for those who have the interest and the wallet to make their kitchen dreams come true. When I started in this business in 1960, a full kitchen remodel cost $1,500. In 2010, I celebrate 50 years in business. When I was a kid, my dad told me that if I am going to be in the remodeling business, I need to a 50-year apprenticeship. I used to joke, Well, I only have 45 years to go and I get my journeymans card. Well, next month I will finally get it; I will be in business 50 years. And during that time, I have seen the price of a typical kitchen remodel rise to $50,000! Do you have a wine captain, a warming drawer and a top-of-the-line stainless steel range in your kitchen? If not, youre just not spending enough. When it comes to designing or remodeling a kitchen, the most important factor as far as the latest trends are concerned is money. The least expensive kitchen that I know how to do, talking about total kitchen versus a partial kitchen remodel, is probably about $50,000. The most expensive one that I have done cost $250,000. The Inexpensive Kitchen The difference between one and the other is quantity and quality, as well as the type of materials we use. For example, the inexpensive kitchen is going to use primarily standard-grade appliances. That means it will have the 30-inch electric stove, a generic gas stove made by Sears or GE or somebody like that. It will also have an inexpensive dishwasher, an inexpensive refrigerator and a low-end line of all other appliances, as well as a low-end line of cabinets. Some peoples old kitchen has worn out, so they have no choice in the matter and need a new kitchen. They are essentially replacing like with like, throwing out old, worn-out products and replacing them with new ones. These people want an inexpensive kitchen, and are not asking us to tear out everything, move walls, change the windows and go for a big design. The Upscale Kitchen On the other hand, the upscale kitchen will start somewhere at about $85,000 or $90,000 and go up to maybe $150,000 or even more. By the time you add up the appliances in the upscale kitchen, those alone will cost $35,000 to $40,000. That includes the range, dishwasher, warming drawer, a wine captain an under-counter refrigerator specifically for holding wine bottles and a coffeemaker built into the wall that will dispense any kind of drink you would buy at a coffee shop, which costs about $3,500 per unit. The upscale kitchen will have all the latest professional-style appliances, including a stainless steel kitchen range in the 48- or 60-inch size. These cost anywhere from $7,500 to the high of $15,000 just for the stove. The client will often insist on a built-in refrigerator that costs from the low-end price of $3,500 to the high-end price of anywhere from $10,000 to $11,000. And the ventilation system alone will cost anywhere from a low of about $3,000 to high of $7,000 or $8,000. Now you can realize why an upscale kitchen can be so expensive. Imagine $40,000 worth of appliances, $40,000 in cabinets, $15,000 in granite countertops, and $10,000 in flooring. And that doesnt even start to include the labor. As far as labor costs are concerned, youve got $5,000 worth of tearing out and prep, $15,000 to $18,000 just in carpentry for the installation. Youve got $15,000 in electrical bills, which will include all the lighting, and youve got $7,500 in plumbing, and $5,000 in painting. When you add up the whole thing, youve got a $150,000 kitchen at least. About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
